What is MOVE NYC?

MOVE NYC is a celebration of movement, community, and philanthropy organized by The Movement Creative. In 2019, more than 200 athletes of all ages joined us on the rooftop of New Design High School for 700+ hours of movement. Through generous donations from workshoppers, volunteers, and sponsors, we were able to raise $3,000 for the students of New Design High School. After a 2 year hiatus due to COVID-19, we’re excited to bring back this movement festival and make it bigger and better than ever.

Why Sponsor?

MOVE NYC is a fundraiser and aligns with The Movement Creative’s belief that movement is for everyone, regardless of their financial situation. Entry to the event is donation-based, so all attendees can pay what they wish. The funds we raise from this event will go back to New Design High School (NDHS) to help support their physical education program. In addition to donating the proceeds, The Movement Creative is also donating a parkour program to the students of NDHS for the entire month of May.

Our goal for 2022 is to raise $5,000, and we need your help to get there! In previous years, we attracted athletes from all over the country, and some from across the globe to jump, swing, and flip their way through our rooftop set. Throughout the course of event promotion, videos and photos tagged with #movenyc received 77.8K views and 25.8k engagements.

By expanding the event to three days, we hope to bring more than 500 people on the rooftop to experience MOVE NYC. This event is a great opportunity to speak directly to hundreds of athletes from all over the country and feel good about your contribution to invest in physical education.
