What is the Coach In Training (CIT) Program?
This program will teach coaching and leadership in The Movement Creative way - we believe in learning by doing. The program will cover how we teach and why we teach that way, will go over the basics of parkour and movement, and will also share our philosophy and method around session design.
Learn and develop classroom management skills with guidance from our senior coaching staff.
Serve as a leader to the camp group and help create the best camp experience for everyone.
Adapt to the challenges of leading an outdoor camp while facilitating meaningful experiences.
Successful CIT will receive a recommendation letter from Jesse or the lead coach and will be eligible for a summer job coaching with The Movement Creative.
What are the requirements and expectations for my child?
Arrive to camp at least 15 minutes early to meet with coaches and discuss the plan/curriculum for the day.
Stay 15 minutes after camp ends to debrief with coaches and share feedback. CIT will help us create a camp experience that’s age- and skill-appropriate for the group.
CIT will support in making sure campers stay hydrated, take breaks throughout the day, rest in the shade, and follow safety protocols.
There is only one CIT slot per camp, so pre-registration is required.
CIT should have a passion for movement and an interest in learning how to coach. Previous camp experience is a plus, but it’s not a requirement.
