Parkour Adventure Summer Camp is now open for registration for 2022. Our outdoor parkour camp - taking place in 2 SEPARATE locations- either in Central Park or in Prospect Park - offers the same movement games, exploration, and social/community-building that you’ve come to expect from The Movement Creative while maintaining social distancing and following the safety guidelines from the CDC.
Safe, fun, challenging movement and social activities that will help the group get to know one another and themselves through parkour. These activities done inside/online will make use of the space available to find interesting challenges.
Camp costs $990 for a full week (M-F) with sliding scale options.
Sign up for 1 week or all 9 weeks! Each week we will start with the basics and add progressions, so each week is always beginner friendly.
It’s our commitment to make high quality movement education available to anyone, regardless of their financial situation. That’s why we’re proud to continue offering our sliding scale pricing for those in need. These pricing options are available via coupon codes on the purchase page, but please note that spaces are limited so we ask that you only apply if you need financial support.
In 2021, we donated more than $142K to families in need through our sliding scale pricing.
We will publish a full list of updated safety protocols along with notes on location and logistics.
To help us keep coaches on staff, we are asking for payment upfront, either in full or on a payment plan. This helps us continue to support our team by offering benefits such as Paid Time Off and Workers Comp, and it gives us the funds to build new curriculum around the updated safety protocols.
We will only cancel camp in the event of weather that is dangerous to campers (e.g., severe thunderstorms, flooding). For more information about rainy camp days, please visit this page. For more information about our cancellation policy, please visit this page.
All payments are non-refundable, but the credit may be used towards other Movement Creative programming, gear, or pop-up equipment.
We have raised camp prices due to the added cost of running camp during an ongoing global pandemic. It is more costly to ensure safe travel for our coaches, training under new and stricter protocols, developing and adapting engaging content with these new conditions and most of all we will have a MUCH lower coach:camper ratio.
$990/week (Full Price)
Paying full price supports all of the costs of camp from training on new systems to developing and implementing up-to-date safety protocols. This tier also supplements the lower tiers for those with more limited means.
$792/week
This supports The Movement Creative’s other work including large-scale public events and subsidized school programming. Payment at this level includes our administrative and digital overhead, insurance, and equipment upkeep.
$594/week
This is the actual cost of running camp and allows the company to break even, though does not include any general expenses like our insurance policies and fees we pay for things like our website and file hosting. Contributions from higher tiers are used to help offset these costs. These spots are limited and are redeemed at a first come, first served basis.
Promo codes can be found in the camp description on our booking platform.

What safety measures is The Movement Creative taking?
All TMC Coaches are fully vaccinated, and we strongly recommend all eligible students to receive at least one dose of either Pfizer or Moderna vaccination prior to the start of camp.
TMC Coaches are tested for COVID-19 every 2 weeks while leading outdoor camp.
What happens on rainy days? Do you cancel camp?
We try our very best to be weatherproof and train in all kinds of weather conditions. However, we will cancel camp if there is a safety concern for our students or our coaches. In the event of a cancellation, Parkour Adventure will default to online and we will notify you by 8AM the morning of.
Examples of dangerous weather conditions include: Severe thunderstorms, lighting warnings, and flash flood warnings. Since many of our coaches commute to class via public transport or bike, we want to avoid anyone getting stranded after a session ends.
Please make sure your child is prepared for the rain. For some tips on what gear to bring, visit our Rain Day page.
What about water fountain/bathroom breaks?
At least one coach will accompany campers to the water fountains or bathrooms.
Coaches will check who is in the bathroom prior to student entering. If possible, they will wait until the bathroom is empty before allowing students to enter.
Limit to 2 students maximum in the bathroom at a time (for group bathrooms).
What does my child need?
Pack a reusable water bottle and a snack. NO NUTS PLEASE.
On hot days, pack an extra pair of clothes if your child is likely to play in sprinklers during free time.
Bring a backpack that can be worn on 2 shoulders, (no tote, messenger, or roller bags).
You can pack your own sunblock or bug spray, coaches will always carry this as well.
Please indicate in your profile if your child has any allergies or medical conditions.
Though students sometimes have free time, refrain from packing an inappropriate amount of toys from home.
All coaches travel with:
Hand sanitizer and antibacterial wipes
Disposable gloves for emergency use (we want to remain as sustainable as possible in our safety efforts)
A first aid kit
A water cooler and an extra water bottle
Sunblock and bug-spray
Refunds & Cancellations
Summer Camp is non-refundable as we commit to paying our coaches once the week has been booked. We issue a credit towards another service in the event of a cancellation, however we can issue a refund if we are able to fill your spot prior to camp week beginning.
Can I book single days/weeks?
In an effort to promote class cohesion and limit disruption, we are no longer offering single day purchases for summer camp.
You are welcome to book a single week or join us all summer long.
How does sliding-scale work?
Sliding-scale works by community support. Participants who can pay full price are financially supporting those who choose to use a discount code.
Sliding-scale is not subsidized by outside organizations, it is made possible by those who choose to pay full price.
Accessibilty to quality programming is important to us, so we will continue to offer sliding-scale options as long as we can sustainably do so.
